Aren’t they the same thing? They are both from God.
True, they are both from God, but they aren’t quit the same thing.
Is your dream, really your dream? Or was it influenced by other people? John Maxwell says, “You cannot achieve a dream that you do not own.”
When I was younger all I wanted to do was be a stay at home mom. Not because anyone told me that was what I should be doing, I just wanted to be like my mom. I saw that she was always there for us girls and I wanted to do the same for my kids.
Through our infertility I had lots of time to discover other things that bring me joy, besides the thought of having kids. After we adopted our 3 kids, I could see that God did not intend for me to be a stay at home mom. I had too many other things I wanted to do and to be honest, I needed a break from my own kids.
So even though I was influenced by wanting to be like my mom, it really wasn’t my dream. But, since I work from home and have my own business I can still be there for my kids, that was the real dream.
What is your real dream? What are you doing today to move towards your dreams?
